If anyone is dumb enough to use the middle of an active road as their latrine, then I'd be more than happy to offer up my radiator block as the toilet paper.

Thinking outside the box: Ways for the "EOD of the day" to check for fake/real IEDs.

Fake-IED's cellphone has a cracked screen (hard to see well from too far, but up close it should be quite obvious; perhaps even only on a high detail model that is seen up close?).

or

I think if we are able to have Combat Engineers defuse/remove IEDs, it might be possible to make the Fake-IEDs 'defusable' by wrench... the idea is that the Engineer is focusing on checking the device (sets down his weapon, grabs any tool he might need) and then checks (with the wrench), which would only crank if it was a fake (fake, let's go--this one's real, everyone clear out!).

I think it's an interesting idea, but don't know if it has any merit in game...

Real or fake, if we suspect something is an IED/UXO/etc in combat we don't waste our time with metal detectors, x-ray, etc. We blow it up. No questions, no test. We just blow it up.

Here's the thing. The time it takes to bury or place a fake device is roughly the same as is required to place the real thing. The only time someone might place a fake is because they lack the real thing, which is not a problem in PR. If you are going to waste your time, risk being seen and then killed, then you should be planting the real thing.

Also, devices will be removable in the near future. Stay tuned for further updates.

In PR, I rarely see people actually looking out for tripwires, IED's, and 'nade traps. This is why so many friendlies always seem to run over the damned things even when there's a huge freakin red "MINE" marker on the map. So what's the point in trying to "trick" the enemy with placing a fake, when you can just plant the real thing?

Sorry, but to me this seems like a bad idea or waste of time.

sometimes is just feels that theres too much traps and mines everywhere(thats why you run on those all the time)so somehow reduce the amount of the real mines/traps/ieds and give some fakes to replacement.
btw,is that sapper kit limited kit?
so the suggestion is also make the insurgents lack the real thing. :)
maybe fakes dissapear in 20 minutes and real ones 10/5 minutes after death?
(and this would maybe help the blufors win sometimes)
