In PR these days the poor old SL's have a lot to do.
Leading, tasking, aims, VOIP, Lazing, Mumble and or TS and or Vent, big picture awareness, sorting new guys, CO if present ....
Just the level of comms traffic can be huge on a Mumble using server, if the CO is on and vocal with other channels over talking it can be real fun.
Lazing is something I often find hard to 'squeeze' in, without the squad kicking its heels.
IMHO just leading succesfully an effective squad is a full time job.
I have found myself wondering about someone else (apart from or instead of snipers) having a GTLD, I imagine HAT or LAT could be an option.
I often ask SM's to type warnings in chat to save me time.
I have as Medic been the only guy on Mumble therefor put myself in mumble SL to deal with that for SL, it helped.
Are there any ideas or opinions about task sharing in a squad or any techniques to lessen the SL's responsabilities?
Or am I just really bad at multi tasking?
PS: I believe that IRL today combat medics (current military guys?) do have sights in most cases, would this go some way to encouraging more people to willingly take this class?

They were taken off to discourage the use of medic as yet another fighting classPLODDITHANLEY wrote: PS: I believe that IRL today combat medics (current military guys?) do have sights in most cases, would this go some way to encouraging more people to willingly take this class?
Also I think this belongs in the SL Tactic section (Under Tales from the front)
