Game doesnt load?

Well I recently reinstalled bf2 vannila and PR. But when I click either vanilla or pr shortcut it loads up to a black screen and then crashes to desktop. When I reinstalled it I also used the patch 1.5 not the 1.41? Could that be the problem not using 1.41 first? I've played 87 before but now its just not working. :

I also used System Restore (Destructive) to restore all my PC settings back normal

You need to patch to 1.41 before applying 1.5 patch.
