Crouch to prone glitch.

Searched the bug list and didn't find this.
Often when I stand crouched, and want to go directly prone, it does'nt work on the first press. So I keep pressing Z(My crouch key). But then for a split second, I stand up before I lay down.
This is one of the most frustrating way to die, when you are crouching behind cover, take heavy fire, and want to go prone for better cover, your head pops up and gets a head shot.

Is this something that can not be fixed? Anyone else experienced this?

I experience this sometimes too. Luckily it has never happened to me when I am in a life or death situation, but I don't want it to happen next time I am in one. I really hope this gets fixed.

i have gotten this it seems to be a lag problem from my point of view

could be your keyboard, lots of keyboards (especially cheaper ones) have several keys using one line, meaning only one or two of these can be pressed at a time. so if you hold your crouch key and try to press your prone key it wont register, or it will interrupt the crouch key.

This is an issue with BF2, and is a known bug. Not really a lot can be done about it im afraid, simply put you need to plan your movements carefully.

i swapped my prone button to space bar so when i'm on ctrl to crouch the slap of the space bar means it goes insta prone.

my only prob is when i haven't took my hand off ctrl properly the animation spaz's out and i miss my prone leaving me standing proud in the middle of a fire fight, i'll let you guess what happens next :(

This is a EA-measure to counter dolphing diving. I guess its hardcoded...

Are you sure? Thought it was just a bug.

I agree its very annoying, made me lose a HAT kit a number of times :mad:
