BF2 V1.5/50% performance decrease

Hey guys
Ever since i upgraded to Bf2 1.5 i have had a 50% performance drop going from 150 fps in normal bf2 to 75 in normal bf2

I know this is because it's does not used the CD any more but is there a way i can go back to using the cd even 4 pr because I won't even dare trying pr til i know i can get that performance issue back

I really Do not know why went EA launched 1.5 and added wide screen, not HD and have absolutely no visual upgrade, compared to using the shortcut way of getting 1440x900.

Is there any way i could

Get the game to work off the CD

And still get the same fps that i did using the shortcut way of getting proper res?

It's a bummer and a really UN wise move on EA's part to make a already demanding game 2 times more demanding

You must have BF2 1.5 installed to run 0874 so basically, you're stuck with it. I suggest deleting your cache files, removing the target for setting the resolution, and then customizing all your graphics settings in-game to exactly what you want. Also remember that the fog effects (and some other graphical effects) have been changed, so that might have some impact on certain computer hardware configurations.

It's a game breaker and it jumps
but i fix the problem

My video drivers where to old.
I don't quite understand how that would effect it much but w\e i still get lower fps, but the Jumping arround was a game breaker for sure, actually, if you tried to change weapons it would most of the time take out the one you've already got
