Radio Language
Just wondering who keeps the default localized radio voices, and who forces all English? I had forgotten about the option until yesterday when I heard my own request for ammo,(as INS) in English over someone elses voip.
I thought about switching to English only, but I believe it would hurt me in times where I can hear the enemy. With all English, everyone would sound the same and I believe it would be confusing. And I love learning a new language through a video game.
So what do you guys use and why?

Re: Radio Language
Localized provides a lot more immersion. For example, the PLA would never speak to eachother in english... And just like you, I could possibly become confused over enemy and friendly english voices. Although, i have considered switching to english only because i could quickly tell what the PLA or insurgents or whatever were saying by just listening and not having to look at the words, and you know that part is so difficult lol.

Apperently alot of people have been lured to their deaths by an enemy screaming for a medic. They run around a corner right into an AK.
For me, I keep it in the original language. I've played BF2 for so long that I pretty much know what everyone is saying anyway.

After oh so many times, you start to learn the jist of what the voice comm is, or you memorize what it sounds like to what it means.
EX, I know "Kumbalah!" is the sound you want to be running away from. (MEC Frag Grenade) While adding "Du Hanea" to the end makes it a smoke...I think. (Voice sounds approximate and phonetically spelled. Don't mob me for not knowing the language please)

Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.
The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

Original languages. More immersion, can hear enemies nearby. Besides, I also speak Russian and learned to recognize the MEC phrases back when paying vanilla. Chinese is the only one giving me trouble sometimes, I can only recognize a few of their sayings.

Can't play all english, that would kill the immersion factor. Although recently I've been trying to figure out what calls mean what for MEC, and I still have no bloody idea.

I can't be buggered to learn what the russian and arabic is.
I do completely understand what the PLA says though. It's somewhat of a perk from being fluent in the language.

Localized. Brings part of the realism to the game.

not that hard to learn what people are calling for. just have to make the call a few times yourself.

"Need a medic" from a PLA sound pretty strange ... localized. Always.
