Its hard to know you are getting hit while flying. Shaking earlier is a good idea. Something should be done I think.

I've tried to video it, but everytime I've tried to damage myself, I end up hurting myself too much or not being able to get enough footage.

Eh... He starts to spin out a little too quick. I'll go play some PRSP, get in a apache, get damaged, and show how its done.

Also most heavy rounds destroy the heli, or you can hear the "Plink Plink" of .50 cal bullets tearing up your nicely polished armour D:<

lol What armour?

Being in the backblast area of an RPG or other recoilless weapon can most certainly kill you. Just do a search on YouTube for "backblast" for a perfect example; I will not link it in here. Having a barrier close enough in the backblast area can direct it towards you along with debris, and firing from inside too small a space will crush your eardrums and lungs from the pressure increase.

The backblast area of a recoilless weapon is conical- it travels vertically in addition to horizontally. Elevating a recoilless weapon past a certain angle will result in injury to your lower legs from heat and debris (kicked up by overpressure), and may also knock you forward off your feet. It is actually recommended to look for such injuries to identify insurgents. Some sources claim that this can be gotten around with an attachment to the venturi that directs the back-blast upward; I haven't seen a photo of the RPG modified as such.

Pointing it straight up you might lose them altogether and get killed. This is one reason why the prone position is the least desirable firing position for a recoilless weapon; your body has to be completely perpendicular to the weapon or you risk severe injury.

Back on topic.

i think the helicopter should shake and maybe when it starts crashing crates can fall out?

did you guys play US intervention you know how you can just jump inside vehicles instead of pressing default e well if the helicopter is shaking people would start falling out which would be pretty cool to see if of course they implement the thing that lets you get into vehicles without pressing e.
