problems with Pr installing core setup

i am having problems with the pr core setup i have asked my brother how he set it up he set it up the same way stilll dont work i did it like this

BF2>bf2 patch 1.4>bf2 patch 1.5>pr core error (saying pr 0.86 has to be installd and it saying if i want to go to dl page but just takes me to 0.87 instals)

and i use a toshiba satellite A 500-17X if that helps

Stupid question but.. are you sure you do have the correct file version? I mean the pr core installer.

Second: could it be that the download has been corrupted somehow? Maybe try downloading the setup files again into different folder to see if it works then.

I agree with this person. BF2 patch 1.4 is older and different than 1.41. Plus you should try using full files instead of patches.

I do believe you have downloaded and tried to install the 0.87 patch

You need the full installers of 0.87 core and levels, as palerider said
