To the PR developers: what is your course of action?

Post by Armand61685 »

Hey guys. Once bf2 comes out, what exactly are you going to do? I'm sure you're going to play vanilla bf2 for a while, then are you going to get right to work on PR? What is your planned process for this potentially life-consuming mod?

Anyway, you guys are offering exactly what i want, and I hope the path to realism is smooth, efficient, and as quickly as possible.

Thanks guys!

First off I'd like to thank you for your support and also to welcome you to our Forums if I haven't already done so! :)

Naturally some of your assumptions may be accurate, we'll obviously have to play some BF2 to get a feel for what will need to be changed and what can moderately be left alone. Several of our Devs have been limited so far due to the engine not being out yet, but I'm sure that as soon as the engine is out that they (and the majority of us) will begin to work/modify/integrate with the engine so that we can bring the community the mod they've all been waiting for as soon as possible. Of course our changes will have to first be tested but other than that rest assured that we are not going laze about once the game comes out leaving you guys in the lurch  For now thats all I can say, but we will definatley be giving you guys more info, etc... as we feel it is ready to be released! 8)

Excellent. And I like how you will be tweaking the vanilla game just to make it more realistic, because I wouldn't want a total conversion because I like the premise of BF2 as it is, it just needs to be less arcadey.

right from the start we have wanted to keep the game as a modern warfare sim. Of course for the first couple of days we will be absorbed in our world of BF2 vanilla, finding out what we want to fix and what needs to be fixed, but im pretty sure, that soon after that we will all be going nuts on the mod.

We want to have this mod out as soon as possible for you guys, all of you who have been so loyal deserve for us not to be lazy

Don't worry about getting the game out too fast. I mean, the dev's have to enjoy the game as well, plus I imagine for the first month, we'll all be absorbed in trying to land the resupply crate on top of that sniper who is annoying us. :)

Take your time, enjoy the game, and release PR when it's ready.
