24" monitor and up - 1920 x 1080 resolution
Is anyone currently playing PR @ 1920 x 1080 resolution on a 24" widescreen monitor or larger? i am intersted in upgrading my current 22" widescreen to something bigger but want to make sure PR will run it. I know about forcing resolutions but i haven't seen anything about a resolution that large as of yet.
thanks for the help!

the monitor's size doesn't matter. If you can render 1080p on a 22" , you will on a 40" as well

you wouldn't render that resolution on a 22" as its native is 1680 x 1050.Howitzer wrote:the monitor's size doesn't matter. If you can render 1080p on a 22" , you will on a 40" as well

The monitor size does not matter. It's the pixels-per-square-inch that you need to worry about (the resolution).
You will have no problems with any monitor size, so long as the resolution is greater than 1024x768. Any monitor that has a native resolution of 1920x1080 will work perfectly fine, and I have friends that are using 24" panels with PR.
Check this guide if you need additional assurance: http://www.widescreengaming.net/wiki/Battlefield_2

Patch 1.5 added widescreen support, so no ub3r 1337 h4x0r1ng is needed.

oh and btw, you can get 1080p 22inch Monitors that run in 16:9 instead of 16:10
But you can play as big as you like really, but most peeps cant use more than a 1920 x 1080 res max.

sweeet, thanks fellas. i know 1.5 patch added widescreen support but the 1920x1080 res was not included so i assume it still requires a forced resolution right?

I've been running at 1920x1200 for years so I'd imagine that 1920x1080 would be fine.

shouldn't you change that "fullscreen" to widescreen?Robbi wrote:Not sure, but i just add mine into the shortcut

no, I never have, and fullscreen means not windowed.

Re: 24" monitor and up - 1920 x 1080 resolution
I have a 24" running 1920x1200. No need to force the resolution since 1.5, its in the menu. But x1080 might be another story.
