Well for me, it runs better, but for other people, it runs worse. I guess you'll have to wait and see.

you can run BF2 on hish settings with ATI 4850 or Nvidia 8800GT

if you have troubles running this then build a new computer Dream Machine 2009: How To Build the Best PC For Any Budget! | Maximum PC

this should be even cheaper this year and you will have to pay for windows 7

That's what EA does. They optimize BF2 for people who have shit pc's. They said they won't put heloes or jets on Karkand because of all the statics, etc..

And look at how **** BF2 looks. Then look at PR.

computers are so cheap now.

maybe instead of buying one upgrade old one you will save money because you will already have a case a PSu and an optical drive and also OS and HD

look at it from the other side :P people with good computers don't want to be held back by people with worse computers :)

but rest assured alot of work goes in toeing the line between performance and looks

But eventually every PC gamer has to bite the bullet.

No, PR should never have to compromise itself for the lowest common denominator either in graphics quality or gameplay. That does not mean that a lot of work doesn't go in to getting it running as smoothly as possible, but it does mean that we should always be pushing to make PR look and play as brilliantly as possible.

@OP, you're just gonna have to wait and see im afraid.

will the devs ever consider makign a "lite" version of pr? I'm thinking of the people here with really bad pc's, i'm sure you know what i'm on about. There are probably people who simply look the other way when they see the 3gb download size of pr, because for some it's just too much.

Well sorry for them but if everyone was to see it like that the world would never evolve. And not to be rude or anything on those who dont have the money to buy a computer, but if you cant run PR on the lowest setting you cant honestly believe that the devs will stop just because you cant buy new parts and upgrade your computer from the early dinosaur time period.

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.

Again, no. This what the low graphics options are for. I cannot understand why people complain about the file size of PR, it is a 3GB file where any game that you d/l from steam nowadays is gonna be at least twice that. As an example I got GTA 4 from steam which is 15GB in size...

As Zimmer says, if you can't run PR on low graphics then your PC must be older than me.

Yeh, I'm on the low end of the scale, and even I admit that with the new results from the Graphics Poll coming in it would only make sense to increase the graphics output of the game.

I'm already starting to look how I'm going to upgrade for PR.

One thing that does slightly concern me is that even the best of Laptops are going to start having issues with the heating PR will cause. No more mobile PR :(
