Hello, not used to starting topics on this particular forum, but I felt it was 'necessary' to post here a suggestion-like thread where we just list stuff that may or will be adopted by militaries represented in PR in the very near future. I did not put this under suggestions as this is not asking DEVs to create anything at all however, as the stuff to be listed here is probably mostly just stuff under testing, but might become necessary to add to PR.
To start off: (I'll post picture of this stuff later maybe)
-UCP-Delta camo for the US Army. Looks rather likely we might adopt it soon. Already in use by some units in Afghanistan, and looks rather nice actually. I wouldn't advise planning on MultiCam for US Army soon however now that it looks like the British Army might adopt that, or a similar patter, can't remember which but they look very much alike.
-QBZ 03 Rifle: The PLA seems to be disappointed with the QBZ-95 bullpup for various reasons and has been developing this rifle, which is similar in most regards IIRC save for configuration, the 03 being in a conventional layout. However, no info as to how serious they are about replacing the 95 with it.
-FN SCAR: For US Army, already in use in some numbers among the Rangers. Again, although it is seeing combat service, whether it will replace the M4 or even be adopted in numbers enough to consider adding it to PR is yet to be seen.
Any similar very-near future weapons, equipment, or uniforms that you want to list here that might be in PR in the far future? Please, feel free to contribute.

1. only on trial
2. never heard of it, sourcy sourcy?
3. only rangers use it, no rangers in game.
intill these are *100%* being adopted, there is no need to think of adding them.

Hence why I didn't put this under actual suggestions. This isn't too serious.gazzthompson wrote:1. only on trial

and that suggestions is locked, if this isnt "to serious" why post it? the DEVs have military serving personnel, its safe to assume they are aware of these trials and how well they are going.

I only meant this as a place for people to post what might see mass-service in any military in PR soon enough to be added in the far future, not like I'm telling people what to add the game and whatnot. Sheesh...

First off, PR is not taking suggestions at this time (which is why the Suggestions forum is closed).
Anyway...
1. As gazz said, its only being trialed and has not been adopted for army wide use.
2. A now retired R-DEV currently serving in the PLA reliably informs us that the QBZ-03 is only being issued to recon teams and that the QBZ-95 will remain the standard "next generation" rifle for some time. Additionally, this is a resuggestion.
3. Clue is in the name - its for special forces use, not "big army". This is also a resuggestion.
To conclude - Locked.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!
