Multiplayer Crash to Desktop CTD/fixed

Hey guys I'm having a problem. I just recently bought a brand new PC and when I try to play BF2 or PR the game crashed to the desktop right after I join a server. There is no error message, and if I try to go back into the game there's just a black screen. Strangely, if I play the singleplayer it works just fine. I already updated punkbuster to the latest version but still no success.

AMD x4 630
6GB ram
1TB hard drive
Nvidia 250 gts
Windows 7 home premium 64 bit
