Virus
I keep getting a message from my antivirus program that there is a Trojan in a google ad on this site
but I don't see any ads, and i don't think anyone else has this problem
so I was just wondering if there were anyone else out there with the same problem as me?
a bit annoying though... i get them every ten seconds or so
Edit: getting a bit more annoying now, it comes up every second. any way of editing the google ads on this site?

I too was having this problem last night. I have Kasperky Internet Security 2010 and just went to Online Activity and turned Anti-Banner on.
Seemed to have fixed the problem.

Re: Virus
Not quite irrelevant... but try run a full scan with the free edition of this program. it will probably find it.H.sta wrote:not using firefox, and my av program is irrellevant, there is infact a virus in the google ads i get on this sight at the moment, i was just wondering if there was a way to remove that ad

Re: Virus
missing the point there a little, i don't have a virus on my computer... there is however a virus in the ad that my av program is blockingSgt. Mahi wrote:Not quite irrelevant... but try run a full scan with the free edition of this program. it will probably find it.

I was just wondering if somebody else had the same ad, and the same virus blocked.
I will wait and see tomorrow, maybe the ad will be gone, then there should be no problem

Re: Virus
It very much is relevant what virus program you are using, as it is almost certainly a false positive result. If you tell us we can see if other users with the same program also get that result, or if something is wrong with the program itself.

I'll reiterate myself:H.sta wrote:the ad is now gone, as it is a rotating ad, and all problems are gone my av program is F-secure, but again has nothing to do with my question

Re: Virus
More like call google ads because they are the ones hosting the ad. VBulletin offers a way to run google ads through the forum and any problem you are seeing in those ads is because Google is hosting something sketchy (probably without knowing it).Xbrad150X wrote:Try and contact the forum admin about the problem , they could help![]()
