I really like the idea about having 2 teams verses 1, I always wanted to see that!...not sure if it works though
Yeah, definitely a post 9.0 idea. I wouldn't want them to delay it any more than they already have!
I was just thinking, aside from the 2v1 idea, if that's possible, it could also be possible to do a 2v2 idea in a similar fashion within the same line of events. There were many reports of US Special Forces, who were already in the country helping train the Georgian military, actually taking part in the fighting. Whether that's true or not, it would certainly be interesting as far as game-play goes. I imagine it working something like this:
Regular Russian Army with vehicles and kits as normal, with a main base and FO's as normal (everything with them, normal). Then the South Ossetian/Abkhazian militia would be like the Taliban in that they use hideouts instead of FO's and don't have tickets. They would be able to use Russian crates for ammo and ride in Russian vehicles (and vice versa) but not man and of the gunner or driver positions. Also, they would not be able to take advantage of the intel given by the Russian commander, but they would be able to type on the team channel.
For the Georgians, they would operate like a normal army faction as well. The big difference would come with the US Special Forces. I would imagine they could be dressed in Multi-cam or something to separate them from normal US forces and give them plausible deniability. Unlike their militia counterparts, they
would have a small set number of tickets and would only be able to spawn in the Georgian main. The upside is that they would have US equipment and would be able to communicate with the commander as normal.
I'm thinking the teams would be split something like this:
Russia: 20, militia: 12
Georgia: 26, SF: 6
Any further balancing could probably be achieved with vehicle allocation.
