[R-DEV]Ninja2dan: Not having a spotter is like masturbating with a cheese grater...mildly amusing at first, but generally painful and bloody in the end.
Thornehaw: If all this have been evidently true, Battlefield is a much scarier and dirtier than ever imagined. Not a conspiracy, but a possibility. If it is true, then trusting another is quite worrisome.

Re: [Community Proposal] Convert BF2 maps to PR
vbf2 maps wont be officially supported again in PR, but that dont mean you cant put together a custom map pack and release it for public use..
The main reason is the smaller scale of the maps, even though they may be 2km maps most of it is lifeless terrain and majority of the map is focused in the middle area. Also nearly all maps have very few enterables or destroyables, plus being designed for small capture radius and fixed spawn points on each objective location.
If you look at the PR community mapping section in this forum, you can see dozens of high quality maps in the works, not to mention the dev mappers and their own projects...
Its not a terrible idea, but its just as PR matures we are removing as much vbf2 content as possible while adding out own.
Personally I think PR maps have a much higher quality feel to them than any of the vbf2 maps. And definitely the quality of maps in PR has only been improving. With a focus on 2km but especially 4km maps in the future, these small maps in vbf2 just dont cut it anymore.

Maybe instead re-create maps similar to the ones from vbf2.
