Because we really love annoying you...
The point of the preload is so that everyone can jump on together and actually instantly play, rather than waiting for everyone to catch up, its a big download remember.
You've waited this long, a few more days won't mean diddly.

I say we all get together and try and figure out the password beforehand. It can't be much harder than decoding the old coded changelogs the devs used to release before .85 etc. can it??

Naw that's too obvious, you gotta get into the mind of the devs... it'll probably be something random like "Jennifer Aniston's ***" or something of that nature.
While I've got an open forum with the devs here, let me ask, will the new maps with Hamas be Insurgency or AAS? In other words will Hamas be a Insurgent faction or will it be just ol' fashion AAS?

So that everyone will have it downloaded for release and not tax the mirrors all at once. Once password is released, can immediatly install and everyone play rather than servers sit there waiting as downloads take forever since half the world is downloading the mod at once.

Re: What the hell is the point of doing a preload?
While you guys are downloading the preload and sharing the bandwith between all seeds and peers (which is good for everyone), we are setting up direct mirrors, server files, manual, news posts, etc.
We could have not released anything, and waited to get the downloads to you only on friday with empty servers, or allow you to "slowly" download them during the week and have it ready once it's all done on our side as well.
Everybody wins, so we just expect you to understand is good for everyone and have some patience.
