The (in)famous AK47

Post by Dr_Wycior »

I'll just put it here, because "suggestions" topics are sealed.

According to gun sites, (guns.ru), several years after developement, original AK47 design went serious improvement program. That allowed cheaper mass production and improved accuracy - up to 300 meters. This new version of Kalashnikov rifle is called AKM. M stands for "modernisation".

However, our beloved PR features the AK47, what feels just... wrong. At least for me, 'cause the AKM was main weapon in conscripts-based People's Polish Army. I'm looking forward to both AKM nad AKMS in next PR release. It's do-able, in fact the ingame model is really an AKM. It's just the name that seems inapproportiate.

They are locked for a reason.....

Not to mention, The akm is in the game, at least I still believe it is.

the current in-game model is in my opinion not an akm.

it doesn't have the buttstock angle of the akm (which should be aligned with the barrel), and no slant break which akm often has. but yeah, there are akms around in the middle east.

also, milled receivers are actually more accurate than the akm's stamped one (which was originally made to make the rifle lighter).
