The biggest threat to immersion...
...worrying about whether you'll get kicked to 'make room for an admin' while you're playing.
I think I'll come back in a week when the fervor has died down and I won't get kicked from various servers by the trigger-happy admins.
*sigh*
It looked so promising too.

You're not missing much. Most servers seem to be filled completely with people testing new weapons (usually via TK) and arrogant vanilla noobs who think teamwork is below them. Only a rare few good servers right now. I was just on one but I crashed.BobAndy wrote:...worrying about whether you'll get kicked to 'make room for an admin' while you're playing.

GamingAU around an hour after release was good. Granted there could have been more teamwork, but that servers fine. Although I tell you what, it was disappointing going to the squad screen on Silent Eagle and seeing 2 helo squads and a plane squad and no INF squads.

Just as a side thought, running servers isn't free. If I was you, Id be glad I can play for no cost.

The biggest threat to the forums is threads without descriptive titles...

Well, you only need a few good ones.Hresvelgr wrote:You're not missing much. I'm sure there are some servers in your region that aren't full or close to full that could use some quality team players, and I'm sure there are plenty of other players in the same situation. No reason for everyone to try to pack into the same popular club when they know it is ladies night.BobAndy wrote:...worrying about whether you'll get kicked to 'make room for an admin' while you're playing.

Well, I've only been playing for 3 months now, but even I know that you can join up with those servers as they usually host a forum board somewhere and they most likely take donations so you can reserve yourself a slot on the server and not have to worry about getting kicked. Servers cost money to keep them running and honestly, I know plenty of people are already having enough trouble trying to just install the client, think about all the work those admins have to do to update their server to the latest patches, releases, etc. Maybe you won't be so annoyed when you realize you're playing for freeBobAndy wrote:...worrying about whether you'll get kicked to 'make room for an admin' while you're playing.
