'ticking' noise when running mumble
Whenever i have mumble loaded up then i load pr, i hear this sort of i guess you could say "ticking sounds" I hear it on the main menu music and even when i load maps. is this normal when running mumble because i don't hear it when running pr w/o it.

Hmm .... this is a bug with your soundcard ... but I dont know why it would be happening. I used to get the same thing with some games when I had an Audigy. Its like a regular ticking sound and sometimes a crackling like someone is rustling a bag of potato chips ?
Don't know the answer I am afraid ... mine went away when I got a new soundcard.

I had same problem, was a buffering problem. Go to audio output options and increase output delay (the buffer) until it stops.

Re: 'ticking' noise when running mumble
nope didn't work.
Edit: Downloaded new drivers and also ran dxdiag. tested my sound and all tests were fine but came up with this message - "Your sound card does not support hardware buffering. Sound will only play from software buffers" Not sure if this helps at but just posted it just in case.
