tried several changes , AA4 AA8 AA0
sound x-fi, software, high uultra high
increased page file from 2 to 3 gig
window mode on/off

All no effect :(

Map Dragon fly gives me this error: memory.dll all alloc attempts failed for size 1048576

I noticed bf2.exe is jumping from 1gig to almost 1.8 gig of memory usage during the verification process at the end of loading a map and then the diferent errors pop up for both these maps.

3.25gig (4gig but xp 32bit)...

both maps FIXED:
I solved both map problems now by setting my gfx lightning setting to medium in stead of high, now the exe file floats around 1.45 gig of memory.

Somehow 1.8 and above is just to much for bf2.exe to handle for those 2 maps with lighting details on high, the other maps work fine sofar :(

What saddens me is i didnt have these memory problems with high settings in the previous PR version and ofcourse stupid xp32bit restrictions grrr

hey guys,

i have the same problem.

windows vista 32 bit with 4gb ram.

it loads any new map to 100 percent then get

Memory.dll alloc attempts failed for size 103345

why the hell?

my old pr versions were perfect. also used a fresh install of windows and bf2 1.5 and pr 909.

ive tried the lighting fix u mentioned but still not working :(

how much memory is the bf2.exe game taking up in your task manager when it crashes ? ( just press ctrl alt delete when you get the error message and select task manager, anything above 1.5 gigs windows xp cant handle safely

are you sure you took 'lightining' and not 'lighting detail'

I'm getting the exact same error on Dragon Fly, turning down lighting and shadow settings fixes the crash on load.
