[0909] Possible performance bug?
As of PR 0.9, when you load into a map on Windows 7, the game will auto-alt-tab out, switch back to Windows Basic (for the GUI theme), then immediately switch back to Windows Aero. I don't know if this is a feature or a bug, but I thought it might help you guys troubleshoot the performance problems.

i guess this is a windows issue, have sort of this too on my vista OS and not a PR bug

mine always did this (since 1.5)... here's how i got it to do it BEFORE the game launches(instead of when map loads)....
Right click your PR shortcut.. Properties > Compatibility tab
> check Disable Visual Themes
> check Disable Desktop Composition
Then you have to do the same thing for the battlefield 2 .exe file...
doing this also got rid of the transparent ground or wall texture bugs i used to get sometimes...
