Greetings from a New Guy!

Post by Col_Kluts »

Hey all, I wanted to say that even in the short time I've been playing PR, the whole community has been great. I have yet to find someone who is unwilling to help me learn the ropes, or just put up with my "noobness."

I've been playing Battlefield since the first Wake demo for 1942, as well as most of the mods out there. I gotta say PR is the most awesome, thrilling, intense game I've played in a long time.

That said, I've been looking for a clan or group to join up with but most of the ones I've found place tons of emphasis on rules and regulations and very little emphasis on teamwork/tactics. Any recommendations? If this is in the wrong Forum i do apologize.

P.S

I have a 15 man Vent server that is almost always empty if anyone would be interested in teaching a new guy about tactics n' whatnot.

Welcome to the forums. If you are looking for a clan I suggest you head on over to the PR Clans section of the site where you will find adverts from many clans looking for recruits. There are several that place emphasis on tactics etc.

The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

I'd leave it a while before looking for a clan buddy, a few think they're in the actual army...

just have a play about on the Co-op servers.. learn how to aim and shoot, and really read the guides and the manual it will help a lot... just treat it as an entirely different game from Battlefield 2...

also install Mumble and try a game on the Tactical Gamer or Reality Teamwork servers I promise you'll have your best PR gaming experience there...

Welcome friend, to the magical world of Reality...

Might I suggest you read the guide if you have not already, it has a lot of the nitty gritty stuff that can be very useful! If you don't yet have a microphone you should think about getting one, it hugely improves your gaming experience. Finally stick around on the forums, plenty of useful info here, and a good place to vent your spleen, remember, spleens need regular venting!
