Weird eh?
I downloaded 0.909 on Friday, and much like everyone else, I was lagging like crazy...
Therefore, I went back to vBf2 just for the heck of it
For some reason, I lagged on Bf2 as well!!!
Later, I uninstalled 0.909, and the problem was fixed - no more lag on Bf2!
So... maybe it's not the objects, view distance..etc that's causing the lag, but something else?

Well definately interesting that the problem persist to vBF2. Wonder what could cause something like that.

I hope some people who read this will try out vBF2 and report any similar findings.

Yeah, I''m actually hoping it's something the Devs added to the new version, not because my computer is too old
I hope this problem is soon solved
Btw, I posted my specs..not very good specs I'm afraid

Interesting find
I vaguely remember something, what was it, controls maybe?
AH - it was auto-reload, older PR versions used to disable auto reload by default in vBf2

Still does. I noticed it last time I was playing vBF2 a few weeks ago.Doom721 wrote:Interesting find
