PRSPY - now with direct launch!

Post by GeZe »

PRSPY

With PR .9 out, everyone can now launch servers directly from PRSPY!

Just shift click a server to open it.

You can create a buddy list, then join the server your buddy is playing on directly!

To access your buddy list, just click the buddy list link at the top right. The list will show you buddies currently online, the server they are playing on (which you can shift click to join directly), the team they are on, and their score.

To add players to your buddy list:

If they are online, just search for them, then click the space in the "B" column and the buddy symbol Image will appear.

If they are not online you can still add them by clicking the link.

If you want to add a few people at once, and see other advanced features, click the "manage buddy list" link in the footer on the right. Here you will see all your buddies, regardless if they are online or not, and you can add multiple buddies in the appropriate input box, just separate the names with commas.

PRSPY is currently in Beta, as such it is not on the main PR web server yet, and will occasionally suffer from some downtime. However, 2Slick is working on putting it on the main PR web server soon!

Yay, I was looking for this, as my previous bookmark was coming up empty, and I couldn't google it (like I did before to get the bookmark :D ), but now it's publicly available! This is great to use with Mumble, so that you can see if the server you are about to join has any mumble players in it or not.

Has integrating the friends list into the menu been looked into?

Yeah it just died on Google, I'm not sure why.

@Snazz - that's much more complicated, and one doesn't really translate into the other

Of course, I just have high hopes that it is possible because of the work that has already been done to the BF2 menu for PR (news bar, autodeploy etc.) and there is a friends list in the 2142 menu.

Haha I saw a picture saying THE BEAR IS A LIE tiled as a background, I can't get to come back.

It's also giving my browser some issues.

For best performance, you need to use Chrome, Safari or Firefox 3.6. Internet Explorer is really slow, even the latest version.

Because the list of players is really large, it is normal for there to be a pause as it loading it.

Very good job.

Now don't need to be a pain asking all the time your friends where they are :)
The best victory is when the opponent surrenders of its own accord before there are any actual hostilities... It is best to win without fighting.

I am using the latest version of Firefox...
I have tried to access the page for like 5 times but everytime I crash... sometimes before loading, Sometimes after fully loading.
Also I am aware it is still in the beta phase, so I accept that.

You should place it as a link on the top of the page.

Were "News", "Forums", "Features" and so on are located.

I'm sure they'll add it once it works perfect and is out of beta... no sense in drawing too much attention now, all the tools will come out of the shed whining with their cheese :D

nice work guys, this is what the game needed.
