CTD in the start

Once I click on the icon to open PR it shows the PR screen, goes black, then goes right back to the desktop. I have done everything that everyone has suggested. I adjusted the resolution, I changed the target link, I went into compatibility and checked 'disable visual themes.' I also checked to 'run this program in compatibility mode for windows XP (sp2).' I would check the 'run this program as an administrator' but it wont allow me to for some reason. Could someone help me solve my problem. Thanks.

windows vista please help I have uninstalled everything multiple times lol

You need to be able to run as admin, are you on an administrator user account? There are two ways to run as administrator, in Bf2 properties->compatibility(requires admin user I do believe) or right click the bf2 short cut, which can be done on any account.
