[0909] Service abnormality!

when i join a server i can play for like 5 to 10 seconds snd then i get kicked for service abnormailties ??:

i also get kicked for unknown windows API function

i realy need help!
is it anyone else who get this error?
i have vista, 8800gt,q6660 quad core 2,8 ghz and 3gig of ram

I got same: PB Service Abnormality kick after joining a server.

alot of other threads ppl are reporting working fixes but to date none of them working for me.

things iv tryed:

read the three links you posted and many other threads over the past 3 days

went over all the fixes in the PR "Problems with punkbuster" thread

reinstalled PB, bf2+patch1.5 and get same error in normal BF2 also

Created a ticket on Evenbalance website but no reply sofar

Running Windows7 64 bit on i7 machine with gtx260 all drivers and service packs upto date.

I kept getting kicked for service abnormalities on battlefield 1942 online, I solved the problem. I am using vista and for 1942 I was using windows me/98 compatability mode so I just got rid of it cause I couldnt last more than 3 secnds in a server, are you doing something like this as well?

Why are ppl posting pr problems in the pr bug section of the forums lataly.
This is for Bugs,Glithces etc... If you post your problem in the PR suppurt section you might get more help.

i update punk buster before i launch pr EVERY time

yea iv tryed running as admin and running in compatibility modes, disabling themes etc

Year old thread revived, on wrong place

The one trough way to fix PB.

1. Download http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe
2. Run pbsvc.exe, check Un-Install/Remove.
3. Run pbsvc.exe again, check Install/Re-Install
4. Click Test Services
5. If Ok, Download Even Balance Technical Support - Download. If test not OK, go to 5.1
5.1. Run pbsvc.exe, check Un-Install/Remove, reboot. Goto 3 and repeat.
6. Run pbsetup.exe and patch Battlefield 2.
7. Run BF2.exe immediately and play on PB enabled server.

Currently PB and BF2 should work on all windows version, except beta, should without running compatibility mode.
Giving Administrator privilege to PB shouldn't be needed either. It is necessary for BF2.

So far ive tried everything in here over the last 30 minutes and other threads and I keep getting kicked for the Unknown Windows API Function every single time I join a server..seems to take about 5-20 seconds. Any newer updates on this dumb problem?

Sorry to be a jerk and bump this, but anyone else having this problem with 0.9? I am going to submit a thing to PB but who knows if they will get to back to me. Still exits me from servers 100% of the time after anywhere from 5 seconds to 5 minutes.

This is not a PR bug, you'll get a lot more help in the help section of the forums. This is a punkbuster issue.
