Question: Picking up an Enemy Specialist Kit

So I was playing last night and stumbled across an enemy sniper kit. I held onto it for awhile before I was picked up for a ride back to base to rearm when my driver ran over a mine, killing us both (this being a few minutes after he reminded someone to watch out for it ). As the match went on I wondered the following:

1) Does using an enemies specialist kit count as 1 of the allowed specialist kits for my faction or do we still have our allowance plus their sniper kit?

2) Does it reduce the enemies allowance of specialist kits as long as it is in my or a teammates hands?

If you have an enemy specialist kit it does not affect your teams amount of specialist kits. The other team will have one less of that kit and wont be able to request it until that one either gets recovered or the player dies and the kit disappears.

what about the time that its on the map? does it count toward the time that its in "bank" when it disapiers? for example if its a HAT (i think the wait is ten mins) and you loose it in a remote area where no one can get it does it stay thier for 15 mins or 10?

Its 15 minutes, 5 for the kit to go away and 10 wait time.
