establishing of a group of teamplaying gamers

Post by Colonel Ragman »

Hi PR-Community,

I don't know if that would be the proper place for my thread but I didn't know, where to put it instead. If it's the wrong place, please just move it, I'm sorry if that is the case.

It concerns the following: Me and a friend of mine decided to found a group of gamers who wish to play together, develop tactics and enhance the teamplay and overall experience in project reality. We want the participants to get to know each other well, so they know which strengths and weaknesses everyone has, how to tread them and to establish an overall good environment for playing the game with fun and success. Training the players to become specialists in one or two tasks/roles is another very important component in our team because specialists will shine in their role and bring it to perfection while not forgeting to train them slightly in every role to not lose any flexibility. We also want the players to discuss and develop tactics and battle behavior together as a team to form a well organised ever-advancing team as a good reinforcement to the game. Therefore we focus on tasks and duties that the team ingame often lacks and try to fill in the gaps. (We want to do more tasks in the future, but at this time we aim at Infantry, Transports and Logistics)

To accomplish this goal, we need players. We need you!!!
Unregarding of your experience ingame, new to the game or veteran , ( we want to encourage helping new players to learn the game and not abandon them from the very beginning like it's common rule today) we would be pleased to see you joining in.

Requirements:

-somewhat proficient speaking english
-at least 18 years old
-having reasonable time to play and train
-nice manners
-Teamspeak and Mumble PR Version (we can help with configuring and issues)
-ability and will to learn and teach each other without any prejudices
-vastly desire to play as a good team and help the faction winning the round (no score hunting)

Have we aroused your interest? Then contact us here in the thread, per forum privat message or via e-mail: [email protected]

sincerely

There are many clans doing the same there are also community based servers which eventually aim to get a whitelisted server up and running such as realityteamwork, with the flood of new players after 0.9 it should be simple to get some poeple, but will they still be playing in a few months?
RT Reality Teamwork specialises in Mumble based teamwork gameplay .
TG Tactical gamer is a US based clan very much into teamwork and Mumble too.

Sounds interesting, I just don't have enough time for a clan, but something of a little smaller scale would be nice.

Texas Teamplayers is also about this and hosts clans at their site for their servers. www.texasteamplayers.com

Had a lot of fun over the weekend with squads using mumble together and working towards specific goals in game.

Hi @Wookimonsta as I said
found a group of gamers who wish to play together
we don't want to form a clan or something in a similar scale. Our idea was to form a LITTLE group of players ( about 15-20players, to ensure we have enough players around most of the time) without any necessities like being online to every day or something. I mean of course the players have to bring some passion and dedication but they should never forget their real life. That's the idea....

Honestly Colonel that sounds like the clan I am in =AONO=. Nobody has to give up their real life to play, but when we do play we play together or lead squads of non members in an effort to make the whole team better. Clans do not have to be super hard core players with competitions every weekend to make them great, they can be exactly like you describe.

Come see us at TTP sometime and maybe we can get together and game. :-)

That sounds cool. I'm up for some close group of gamers, that I know are willing to play with teamwork whenever I play with them. Joining a clan is too much of a commitment for me.

I play mainly as light AT, So I guess that's my speciality.

Hook me up with a time and place and I'll be there ;)

@Sterno
Great, I look forward to get in touch with you Sterno. Do you have a xfire account or an e-mail adress or something to contact you?

@the others

Really no offense intended but the reasons Sterno and Wookimonsta stated are some of those, why we establish a smaller scale group on our own. A clan even casual or something is just not the same (not only regarding the numbers of players). We want the players to know each other very well, just as I stated, do it in another way. Everyone has it's own way and some people just favor this over others, among other things. That's the same reason why more than one clan per nation exists.

@[R-DEV]J.F.Leusch69

then again, no offense intended but I want to play with english speaking people and I didn't have good experiences with GIS. I don't want to insult anyone. Just as I said, everyone has his own way and the GIS's way is not mine.

Oh and even if that are my first posts, I am around the game for about a year now and I know the clans and communities but everyone who watches carefully feels, that there are still gaps to fill concerning grouping of players and tasks/roles in combat

I'd be happy to take part in this, but probably on more of a casual basis -> can't afford to play more than 1-2games/ week. English speaking, over 18 years of age, and with a year of PR experience to boot. Be great to have an opportunity to refine / work out tactical manuevers

Edit: this guy ( https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f75-pr ... squad.html ) was suggesting something of a similar nature, but never seemed to take off the ground. Can I suggest combining forces?

A group of like minded gamers banding together to have fun. Gee I think someone might have tried this before...wait I know who did, me, and the 6000 other clans. Thanks for stealing the idea. *insert heavy sarcasm* (hint: that part was a joke)

This belongs in the clan section, but I'll leave it here for a little big so you can get some attention and get things off the ground. Starting a clan and keeping it going is hard work, but it pays off in the end if you can keep it together. Best of luck.
