Well, I think I can call myself a relatively seasoned player in PR, who knows the ropes, but for some reason I just can't use the magnified optics for any full auto fire at all.
Am I missing something, or are we just supposed to be relatively inaccurate with full auto in magnified weapons?(Compared to non-magnified weapons)

Well the recoil is pretty heavy when your using irons, so its just going to be worse when your zoomed in on a target, but in anycase full auto isnt supposed to be used at large distances but instead CQB type battles (unless its with something like a deployed SAW, then it shouldnt be that bad at a distance). At relativley long distances semi auto is better

you're usually on semi when using a scope because it's meant to be used for engagmemts at longer ranges thus not needing to use full auti often. When using the unscoped weapons, they are for close quarters combat so ur usually on full auto. Anyways, maybe it's just for balancing so that scoped weapons don't dominate in cqc and far firefights

If I'm not mistaken, the recoil values are the same, but you need to keep in mind you're viewing the world at 4x magnification, so even if the recoil is the same, your view seems to be more chaotic. Now couple that with long range, which I assume you're shooting at considering you're using an optic, if not, wrong kit wrong time, the deviation caused by full auto fire, and you've got yourself a recipe for inaccuracy.
You really shouldn't be using full auto unless you're within 50-75 meters, and at that range, you don't need an optic, but generally it's best to use single shots as it allows time for your view to settle.

Yeah, but with the deviation, it's really best to just do quick, controlled bursts on full auto. In Gaza I did this to great effect in CQB. Yes, you are most likely not going to take people down with it at longer ranges, but it allows you to suppress them enough that they can't find where you are, and you can close in to ensure the kill.
I'm going to try this out some more, to see how I can get the magnified optics to work with my playstyle. It certainly isn't realistic to go full auto, but I think that I should raise my chances of a hit by throwing lots of lead into the air.

@ OP,
I don't think your the only one. I know when using ironsight in CQC I can usually take out half a squad. Most people I run into just can't fight back when using Optics in CQC

think about it, its one thing to see your target, it's quite another to have a small portion of his chest cover your entire field of view. and as others have said remember that any recoil you feel even if the values are the same, feel 4x worse. its like a lever, towards the base of the lever you're not moving much, however at the outer end of it you travel a great distance with the same value of change.
Information in the hands of a critical thinker is invaluable, information alone is simply dangerous.

If you're zoomed in, you should probably be on single fire. Only exception is the LMGs, which are reasonably controllable in short bursts.

Even in cqb I tend to keep to single-fire if theres only one enemy around. I find I can put in a couple well placed single shots before someone just spraying can get lucky.

I always keep my rifle on fulll auto, but I shoot it the way I want...
So Incase I encountered an enemy right next... Ill hold the LMB untill he is dead...
and if I want burst I hold the mouse for a short amount of time... and if I want Semi auto I just tap... this is better than switching modes often
