Sound Issues w/Windows 7 and Realtek

I have completed a fresh install and updated all my video and audio drivers... Uniblue's driver scanner says i have all the updated drivers on my computer...

When i run PR.exe in XPsp3w/admin i get no joy.
when i run PR.exe in VistaSp3w/admin i get contact.

When i try and access the sound options in the game i get a infinate loop and a game lockup.
When i try and deploy to the internet i get the same thing...


anyone have any ideas?

delete the bf2 folder in the my documents to reset your settings to default (old configs might be corrupted)

on win7 you shouldnt have to run pr in compatibility mode afaik

did you install bf2 patches 1.41 and 1.5?

Make sure the drivers you got are from the maker of you motherboard if your using the integrated sound card.
