Main menu crash

Post by Rebelsupertrooper »

Hey I'm new and all, My project reailty isent working for some reason, When I join a game, then hit esc to the main menu to disconnect or check my settings, I crash to Desktop. its really weird as it does the same in vanila bf2. befor it crash's the background is all messed up, it's a black and purple checker box, I can move the mouse but can't click anything

When i am in game i sometimes crash in the middle of a firefight or when i build a FO.

With some tanks that spawn slanted (Like on a small hill or something) The 50 cal is floating 5 feet above the tank.

Can anyone help me out? I spent all day reinstalling, redownloading, removeing, and reseting my bf2 and project reality.

EDIT: Maybe its my video card? its a Geforce 6800

sounds like an overheating or driver problem
update your gfx drivers!
check your temperatures!

especially with that old gfx card and the fact that you have already reinstalled and cleared the bf2 profile ill stick to hardware error
do you have a spare video card you could try?
why has it been in repairs? what did they do/fix?

using kfsone's MemTest Home or a similar memtest tool like on a linux live cd can help you make sure your ram is not broken

post the rest of your specs plz
