PR start up not working

Palerider, thank you for your help. After posting my comment I did a little more reading around and read somewhere to try "Run As System Administartor." So I tried that and it worked just fine! SWEET back in business! My user account on my personal computer has all administrative rights but for some reason it wasn't administrative enough for the game. Right clicking and running as Administrator was the key. Now I may play around with it some other time and see if I can get the shortcut fixed so that I don't have to do that every time. Again thank you so much for your help.

Also, I did read that thread and I wasn't about to uninstall all my files and download them all again. I figured if my version .874 worked then there should have been nothing wrong with the .9 version getting installed.

good point.... i forgot to delete v.87 before installing v.9....
very helpful imma go try to reinstall now hahah

Wonderful, I as well was having the same problem where my PR shortcut was not working.

RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR worked perfectly, pr is problem free.

I did not know originally, but to anyone who does not know how to run as administrator, simply right click the PR Short cut Icon and click "Run as Administrator" Thats on windows 7.

Well im going to do a complete defrag and upgrade to Win 7, and install BF2 and PR all over again, maybe that will work, I dunnno, maybe I got a hidden virus or something my virus scanner cant find

If that doesnt work looks like I will no longer be able to play PR ever again

Just installed .9 and right off the bat i go to play pr. exe error on start up....any ideas anybody.

I myself am having the same issue. I'm running PR on Win7. After attempting to reinstall 0.9 several times I decided to download the files from a different mirror. Truthfully, I am unaware if this will affect the outcome at all but it's worth a try. I'm currently downloading the client files from modDb rather than fileplanet. Pray that it works
