Strange Problem
Hi all, I upgraded to win 7/64 and after a few issues got Bf2/Pr running fine. I have upgraded all drivers to the newest release.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the new drivers. Or maybe Windows 7 64 bit isn't compatible with BF2.

Re: Strange Problem
Things to try:
1. Run in xp compatibility mode.
(Right click; properties; compatibility tab)
(Also make sure you are running as admin in the same spot)
2. Change up your sound settings a bit.
-Use a different source (hardware/software)
-Use a different quality level (high/medium/low)
-Enable/Disable EAX
3. Sound Drivers
-make sure they are updated
-try running through a different audio source (card vs onboard)
