Re: [Forums] How much do you take pride in Signature?
well i have noticed that whenever i seee someone without a sig or avatar the first thing that pops into my mind is "this guys new" but then i see the 2,571 post count and think "this guys cool, he is been here a while and is so cool he doesn't need a sig"
also i have noticed that i use signatures to give people on the forum a personality, i use their signatures more than i use their posts to determine what sort of people they are.
therefore i have tried to keep the same signature as long as i have been here, had to switch though to the Norwegian Forces one i made, something i would like to see all people working on stuff for Com-Facs to have, it makes it easier to know whos who and who does what for whom

I like the sig and avatar I've got now so I'll probably keep these for a while. For me the avatar is like a personal identifier that helps quickly recognize people even if you dont know their name. The sig is more of a "this is what I think is cool".

Mine isn't the prettiest, but practical shooting is my greatest interest and I guess the Ruger somewhat reflects that.

Sigs are always a good excuse for me to open up photoshop.

I care more about avatars tbh, sigs just aren't my thing on these forums..do create em though
Do you have photoshop? There are a ton of sig guides on the intertubes, I'll make you one if you want just send me a PM.Tahanatos wrote:Im rubish at creating signatures so I just take a pic i like put my Nick in there and upload it.

Haha yeah, you're absolutely right. Although my signatures are always very simplistic, doesn't take much talent.[R-DEV]Spearhead wrote:Sigs are always a good excuse for me to open up photoshop.

I love simplicity.

Re: [Forums] How much do you take pride in Signature?
I find something funny or interesting that someone has said on the forums and share it with everyone else.
I do have one rule when it comes to signitures and that is if I'm going to have one the majority of my posts should be bigger than the sig itself. Otherwise I'd be a hypocrite for raging at others spamming up the forums with one-liners and doing them myself.
I also hate it when people have giant sigs that are twice the average size and exist solely to post some witty one liner or inane question that's been answered above.
But to each his own.

Re: [Forums] How much do you take pride in Signature?
I used to have some userbars or some other boring thing for my signature, but then I read this interesting article in a newspaper or magazine I think, and I learned about this cool thing your brain does with words.
So, I put that into my signature, cause I think it's pretty cool.
(Although it may be harder for people who didn't learn English as a first language to understand, it can be recreated in any language with the same effect.

Quite a bit. It's [my sig] is my goal. Quotes are good to add aswell.
"I looked down this scope every single day for 18 months. I swear if I close my eyes and concentrate, I can see the shadow of the reticle when I open my eyes again." - A US Marine on the ACOG reticle.

Re: [Forums] How much do you take pride in Signature?
My sigs used to be a big hobby, got to work on my photoshop skills while creating something I liked. No more though, now it's just to have something cool/pretty under my posts.

Re: [Forums] How much do you take pride in Signature?
No sig, no avatar, and I see none of yours either. I'll rather see 40 (or a hundred, we're it possible here) messages per page than ten "signed", taking up the same space.
