hi everyone i tried to use this command to activate battlerecorder
demo.recorddemo (file name) and it said something like cannot record as client? i mean am i doing something wrong? can someone give me a step by step on how to do it please thanks

that command can only be used in local games where you are the host.

Its a good way of getting small videos or screenshots via getting some mates on hamachi, hosting a local game and then doing that you need to do while during the BR off and on.

This means you get alot of small, easy to work with BR files.

But you get BRs from MP dedicated servers (IF THEY RUN BATTLERECORDER) either from teh 'barracks, replays section or from the server's website

Not to start another thread for one question. I've removed the nametags by adding a line in the init.con, am I also able to remove the compass that way? It's annoying to first play the file, then go to console and use renderer.drawhud 0 and then line up the camera for filming, it's just too complicated and there must be some other way, hopefully through the init.con.

deadfast, its annoying because renderer.drawhud 0 also disables the commorose BR controls

though Ive gotten used to just using the hotkeys, so it doesnt bother me now
