Spoonman293

Post by DopeyX »

Ok, on the mumble server I decided I wanna play some RT Reality Teamworks All Maps...

I go into the mumble channel and i chill while my game loads... suddenly someone named Spoonman293 decides to spam us all with a newscast of random things. Frankly its annoying and nobody can do anything about it?

This "player" is blatantly ruining gameplay and the gameplay experiance that mumble gives with PR...

He said it was a technical problem and it didn't sound intentional.
But yes it was annoying that he didn't want to believe anyone that everyone could hear him (especially with 64 players in mumble).

Next time try to ask the server admin and/or simply alt-tab and mute him.

Did you ever tried this with mumble?

You can use the local mute function. That should do it?

When ever I use that mumble just stops working and shuts down.

Edit:
Tested it again. It works on guys that not talking but when ever I try it on someone who is constantly transmitting it just crashs. :-x

Haha... yes, I remember Spoonman. Anyhow, this thread only enlarges his ego/is unfair if it really was an accident. I think a lock is in order.

P.S. That was one EPIC round on Jabal.

That Jabal round was pretty awesome. I have a picture of him fighting with a different squad.

Spoonman is a nutter who loves to spout his conspiracy theories. The other day I heard him ranting about how we no longer own our own DNA. :D

Ive never seen him causing a major problems on RT, but there are always admins on - just report him if he goes over the top and it will be sorted. Very occasionally late at night (EU time) there may not be an admin on the server, but I can guarantee one is on the RT x-fire list, and someone else on the server will also be on the x-fire list - let us know the problem and we will fix it!

spoonman can be pretty fun to play with, but I've told him to STFU more than once.

Spoonman is a great squad leader and teamplayer. While his "propaganda broadcasts" about the government stealing our DNA can get annoying, his leadership skills make up for that.

Please sort this out on the forum of the server in question as there isn't much the PR team can do about this. Thank you.
