On a somewhat related subject, when are the suggestion and feedback forums going to be reopened?

Because the people offering unhelpful criticism are just posting it anyway in the General Discussion, and the many other people who have some good constructive criticism and suggestions can't post it.

I mean, if you need to keep them closed, I understand, but can you tell us generally when they will reopen? I have some stuff I want to give feedback on, too. :-)

Criticism of the mod is perfectly fine as it encourages debate and can lead to a positive change, such as with the civi changes in .9. I have no problem with seeing large amounts of criticism as long as it paints a detailed and coherent arguement with possible solutions attached (it's easy to revolt but never to rule). My problem with the current criticism is that it stems from about 5-10 guys constantly spamming the forums about how terrible things are with the vast majority of their posts being shorter than this one and involving circular reasoning.

I dislike change > I post to tell people of change > majority do not oppose change, but know many people who do > I will tell the devs my dislike > devs state everything is WAD > But I dislike this change! >

Criticism of the developers is misaimed criticism. :P
