BSOD on exit, and more!
Hello, every time I exit out of PR I get the error sound, but with no other problems. However now, I have been getting a blue screen of death occasionally, and a forced restart when I exit PR. On top of that the account I use to play BF2 disappears, and in its place is an 'Offline' one, that only lets me play singleplayer. I have to retrieve my account and redo my control configurations every time to be able to play online. I have been searching all over both PR and BF2 forums for help, but have not been able to resolve this issue. Can someone help me with this?

Having the same problem here too after I played a few rounds in PRSP. I think I found something that works (temporary).
This is what I do every time I start and stop PRSP:
1. Clear all caches (use CCleaner or you disk defrag program), windows, and necessary programs (Task Manager). Stop here if you want to get out of PR.
2.a. Restart computer. Once booted, start PR.
2.b. At the end of the session, run through step 1 again.
I noticed when I did that I crashed less (about a 20% chance I might crash compared to a 60-ish percent) but I still get that error sound without a error notification.
I really want to stop this though, not just a quick fix.

Re: BSOD on exit, and more!
Im using Win7 64 ULT and get BSODs all the time at map load and or during a game. I think it has to do with my XFI XtremeGamer sound card and a crappy driver from creative or something. When I turn my sound card settings down from ULTRA to HARDWARE...no more BSODs for me but I lose directional 5.1 sound etc.
Realism and fun aren't mutually exclusive.

I have the exact same problem, using an xfi card. Good to know its not just me, I was beginning to think it was my computer and not a PR problem.

Re: BSOD on exit, and more!
bsods (blue screen of deaths) report an error code and message
it would be awefully helpful for us to know that error msg (and even more if you could google it and find a solution yourself and post it here
)
if you just see the bsod flashing and the pc instantly reboots:

what are ur guys' specs?
btw: that "ding" error sound at closing of bf2 is perfectly normal

Re: BSOD on exit, and more!
I get the Page Fault in Non Paged Area BSOD. I am using Win 7 64 and an XfI Extremegamer card with 64MB XRAM. I think the issue has something to do with the XFI because I can play all day long if I turn off XFI mode and use Hardware sound. Never had a problem until I started using Win7 64 many many months ago. BSOD each time guaranteed.

you are right xfi is known to cause trouble, did you try lowering audio settings to "high" yet?
