Need Help PR v0.9 Crashes on startup.
I start up the game with the shortcut and after it shows the beginning image screen goes black like its starting and then just disappears, no error message no nothing. i've tried reinstalling it, and even deleting the whole mod and reinstalling. if anyone could be of help with this i would be very appreciative.

You could try these if you haven already:
1-reduce textures to medium in BF2
2-change sound from ULTRA to HIGH (if you have XFI etc)
3-update to latest video driver

Realism and fun aren't mutually exclusive.

If you have vista i ran the program as an administrator and it did not crash.

Re: Need Help PR v0.9 Crashes on startup.
This is how I dealt with the same problem:
My BF2/PR corrupts every time I exit the game and I have to re-copy a backed-up config file I created. If I don't, the game fails to load and Task Manager shows BF2.exe and PR.exe are running in the background.
Try deleting your 0001 Profile in your My Documents/Battlefield 2 file. It is likely corrupted and a common reason for the game's failure to load. BF2 will create a new (and uncorrupted) profile next time you start.

make sure bf2 is patched to 1.5 (install BF2 1.41 and then 1.5 patch)
please try to use the pr specific support forum, you will get your answer alot faster

Got a PROBLEM? Check this: PR:BF2 Installation Guide
Got a common QUESTION? check here first: PR:BF2 FAQ, MUMBLE FAQ

Try restarting your computer, that fixed it for me, without having to run it as Administrator.

Re: Need Help PR v0.9 Crashes on startup.
i changed the resolution in both 0001 and default folders but is still doesnt work. BF2 starts an plays just fine but pr wont. i dont think it has got to do with the resolution because i see the BSS logo appear but when that is done it just reappears and the animation laggs like i have 0,01 fps or something. All i can do is ctrl alt delete but my whole pc slows down and i have to wait like 5 mins before i can shut pr down in taskbar..

Re: Need Help PR v0.9 Crashes on startup.
Ah nvm i fixed it, placed +restart 1 behind target in the pr shortcut properties and now it doesnt show the intro movies so it starts up normally. Must be something with my HD5770 because there are some problems with the HD5xxx series with failing in 2d mode etc.
