Brushes is definitely one of the tricks to good texturing. You might want to look into doing a good specular map before you move on to bumps. A good diffuse and a great specular map is 80% of the way, a good normal map just makes it pop - but without a good specular map the normal map is not that impressive...

When you get around to making normal maps (or bump map as people keep saying) from textures, I can recommend going through this guide to make sure you don't make the mistakes as many people do by just pressing the button and not caring what parts go in and what parts go out...

Hehe, Yeah I Should know better than still calling it a bump by now, I just write it without thinking :p Cheers for the link.

@ Rhino, good point, ill do that next.

Just started a new model :)
It's the AG36 grenade launcher of the G36.

Is this for the German Forces? they should use the AG36 off the L85 to save time and ingame resources.

Ye, but the thing is that one uses the same UVs and more importantly textures as the Brit AG36.

You would be far better off adding in the extra details onto Pride's one rather than crating a new one which needs brand new UVs, textures etc where this you can only UV the new bits + only a small texture sheet ontop of like 256x256 or w/e.

Woah rhino, hold up :p

The old AG36 made for the germans does not share anything in common with the British AG36.

Also, i think those old G36s are being scrapped in favour of the new ones being made melon.

I think marco is the guy to talk to about this.

ye rgr, I assumed you had used the Brit AG36 etc. Did you make them before you where a dev? And ye, Melon iirc has been working on a new G36 series etc.

Old lowpoly of Stridsbåt-90h (CB90), made back in 2003 for "Operation Flashpoint: White Night"

Also the lowpoly AG90/M82A1 made for the same game.

I also modelled the Helikopter 10 (AS 332 M1) Super Puma, but cant find the renders.

All models were slated after a harddrive crash back in 2005. REMEMBER TO MAKE SOME COPIES !!!
