[Server2003] BF2 Voip Server Help

Post by AlphaBravo »

Posted this in the server admin forum, but figured it might be better to post it here..

Im trying to get my voip to run on my server.. all im getting when it trys to connect is:

Code: Select all

BF2 server 81.19.217.183:55124 attempting to connect with invalid authentication
other times it just wont connect at all..

All the settings are the same, it worked before and then we restarted the bf2: pr server and it stopped working.. (nothing was changed to do with the voip..)

bf2 serversettings.con

Code: Select all

sv.voipEnabled 1
sv.voipQuality 5
sv.voipServerRemote 1
sv.voipServerRemoteIP "81.19.217.183"
sv.voipServerPort 55125
sv.voipBFClientPort 55123
sv.voipBFServerPort 55124
sv.voipSharedPassword "rage"
voip.con

Code: Select all

55125 rage

Anyone go any ideas on how to make it work?

We also run a Windows 2003 server, and "remote VOIP".

N.B!
The voip.con shall not the con-file in e.g., "C:\Program Files\Battlefield2 Your Server", but the voip.con-file in e.g., "C:\Program Files\BF2 VOIP-server 1.5"
There you have port 55125 and password "rage". Correctumundo!

In the "default.profile" (or similar "profile") in your server's root folder (e.g., "C:\Program Files\Battlefield2 Your Server") shall have this:

Code: Select all

<VOIPInfo>
    <VOIPInfoID>1</VOIPInfoID>
    <IsRemote>true</IsRemote>
    <ServerRemoteIP>81.19.217.183</ServerRemoteIP>
    <ServerPort>55125</ServerPort>
    <BFClientPort>55123</BFClientPort>
    <BFServerPort>55124</BFServerPort>
    <SharedPassword>rage</SharedPassword>
    <Quality>5</Quality>
    <IsEnabled>true</IsEnabled>
  </VOIPInfo>
That will get your remote VOIP to work. If you are running on BF2CC, you can check it out there too.

I am on XFire, if you want to ask something
