Currently Co-op is a team killing, base raping mess. I really haven't seen it be any different then training.

Also, being able to hold a dead still hover is sort of ridiculous, and impossible with any deploy mode helos.

As a side note, jets now fly slow enough that I can actually shoot them down with my AT-10 Stabbers.

Some of the jets in co-op have different handling so that bots can use them more effectively.

I miss training mode sooooo much. I've still got quite a bit to hone on my flying skills (definately figured that out on Silent Eagle). Everyone got so pissed when we (attack helo squad) got shot down, but what the hell am I supposed to do?

Dunno, especially because I've found that you can quite literally hover in front of a tank in an attack helo, and they won't bother shooting you.

The training map will be released later this week, but it will only be running on a passworded RT server (where admins are available pretty much 24/7) The file will include the server password, and also a python file which will allow you to use the customised game settings on a local server, or via hamachi with friends if you wish.

We've been testing the map out on a server, and unfortunately the final version will no longer include every vehicle type due to performance issues.

This is great news but I still can't see the problem with clans having such a map to run on their password server for their own private use.....

:(

I'm sure someone else will make one at some point.

If you want to make a training map its about the easiest thing you can make - open up the bfeditor and give it a try! If anything my map isn't the best choice for a training map, because it will make your graphics card cry.

I'm pretty sure that vehicle spawn time settings can only be changed client side.

If you can run all the maps in PR, then you should be fine. Many people have tested the map, and very few have had problems. This youtube is from over 6 months ago, and the map now has an extra 10000 trees, so if your PC doesn't like forested maps, then yeah you might struggle.

The performance issues that we experienced in testing were netcode problems due to us spamming jets etc, and should be minimised by the changes I'm making.

YOU MADE THAT!?!

(Insert Do want Pic Here)

As for your Claim about client side only...look below

Training server is back up, I asked a DEV and I passworded my server. Training Mode isn't dead and apparently did come with .9.

FYI, if you go to our Fora @ CIAGamingClan.com you can see when we change that password and for what. All these new modes of Gameplay allow me to change many things, for Helicopters, on Kash, for Tanks, on Kash, for a whole bunch of things. So we'll make it, actually, private and invite some peeps who want to train properly.

Well...She's Up, She's Running, and its ready to Train.

Peace

It's really starting to miff me off the amount of noobs we are getting on servers trying to fly choppers for the first time and crashing them on take off.......

See what you've done Dev's - in your wisdom you've turned normal well organised servers into a noob-fest for people who don't know how the play this game yet.....

Congrats.........

The complete removal of the co-op versions or simply forbidding bots to use them would be a very good idea. Hell, bots can't use the aircraft anyhow they can't land choppers or fly planes without carpet bombing everywhere and getting blown up in the process. This would improve the online experience to no end in providing actual training.

Th RT Vehicle Training map is ready, and the server is up. The file can be found here:

Reality Teamwork Vehicle Training Map

MAKE SURE YOU READ THE "Readme" FILE

There shouldnt be any problems with it, but until I can get a few people on the server at once, I wont be making a full announcement about it.

I'm not going to argue with the PR team... but the single worst thing they done was remove the training.

Now we have noobs training in muttrah city. It sucks.

(Plus how am I going to learn how to fly airplanes?)
