pr.exe and LOCERROR

Hello. I just downloaded and installed PR.0909 and my BF2 is up to date. I open the game using the PR desktop icon and at the splash screen it gives me "LOCERROR_unable to load current profile", I hit "Ok" and continue. It has me retrieve my account, so I enter the information and I hit "Accept". I then get the following message:
You must use "pr.exe" to run Project Reality.

Please update your shortcuts as required.

Example:

'C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe'

instead of:

'C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield2\bf2.exe'


I think I have two separate problems here involving LOCERROR and then the pr.exe error.

I have only found one other "solution" for the pr.exe issue which involves changing the "Target:" and either that doesn't help or the person recommending it did not write it out correctly.

Any ideas at all would help.

for LOCERROR
clear the bf2-profile (this will reset all setting to default... again)
do this using either bf2cleaner or deleting "My Documents\Battlefield 2" directly
this will clear corrupted files and should get rid of above error

for pr.exe problem:
this guy seems to have the same problem (regular fixes didn't seem to work for him either)
