HAT Help
Kluts here,
I don't know if I'm completely missing a concept or there's some insider trick I'm not aware of, but it seems no matter how long I wait, the HAT remains about as accurate as a drunken baseball pitcher with one arm. Before .9 I was getting hit after hit, now my team members on the other side of the map are in more danger than the vehicle in my sights. Is there something I'm missing?

All you have to do is make sure the 2 objects in the middle of the screen join up they move even with the slightest of movmement so always look at them and only fire when they are lined up and shoot while crouched.

Re: HAT Help
i've had similar problems but it occurs when i've reloaded e.g got ammo from another player.
first shot is as per normal but then second round the () doesn't appear, and the reticule is 'greyed' out even after minutes of waiting.
doesn't happen every time but enough times to make me look like a plonker as i'm unsure whether to fire or not. (and by the sounds of the OP i've probably been right not to fire)

You can't fire HAT when you're prone. You must be either standing or crouching.Col_Kluts wrote:Well the last few maps I've played the grey ( ) marks are non-existent.. Dunno why...

Re: HAT Help
Did they really remove those two ( ) objects from the hat?? So we have to aim like insurgents RPGs now? With a little bit of feeling instead of being fat americans (making everything seem easy by inventing new hax shit like scopes on ARs and LMGs, amining help for the Hats, having apc and tank gunner being able to zoom farther than a sniper rifle and the list goes on.
If the aming objects on the HAT is gone with the latest update that would be an improvement if you ask me, lazy americans gets a taste of the harsh and challenging life of an insurgent..
Ofcourse they are still extreamly far away from learning the whole truth of how rough it actualy is being an insurgnet since they still have more scopes than they can count, combat medics, sniper rifles and fat-*** tanks to noob and whore around with.....

Read my previous post. Deviaton indicators are visible only when you are standing or crouching with HAT. They disappear if you go prone.Grauers wrote:Did they really remove those two ( ) objects from the hat?

Re: HAT Help
If you lie prone and don't move with the sight up, when you go up to a crouch the range bars are tight and you minimize the time you are a visible target.
If for some reason you are not seeing the range bars "()" then stay still for 8-10 seconds to be safe then fire, it should have stabilized by then.
I have used the US and MEC HAT and have seen the range bars in 0.9 so I'm not sure why others can't.

Re: HAT Help
You should watch james bond , oddjob is the most skilled person with a HAT. I think you may be able to get some good tips.
