so i have pretty much low and medium settings with pr and no anti-aliaising.
in lashkar valley theres some odd lines in textures.
is the problem with my setting or in map?
and that another pic...
its from jabal.
i can see some part from sun through the statics.
nvidia gforce 6800gt
2 g ram
amd athlon 2.4 ghz or something.

i have seen this texture line in serveral other maps back in .87 as well - i do believe it has something to do with the "texture" setting (bf2 vid settings) in combination with the nvidia "high performance" or "performance" mode - i blieve that changing the mode to "High Quality" and "textures to high as well is the only fix (if it still works)
i think when creating a map the editor renders with all high settings so the developer does not see those glitches - sometimes its also simply due to unexpected compiling of the map (editor is not wysiwyg

The first picture is a problem called tearing which is fixed by enabling Vsync, an option BF2 doesnt have.

i believe tearing only causes horizontal lines - since the image is built up from top to bottom
but maybe getting vsync on helps - you can force it in the "nvidia control panel" in the "manage 3d setting" section
