Exponentially increase/decrease deviation... as the name suggest.
Make the first 1/1.5 second of moving decrease very little accuracy and make the first 1/2 second of staying still(after running long enough for lowest accuracy) increase more accuracy than the last few seconds.
I think that would make it more realistic as there is no "lean" option in CQB and it can get quite frustrating when leaning out of cover a little just to have to wait for an extra second to take the shot.
Just a thought... I am not sure if this is possible.

Already a feature actually, you can move for 5 seconds in any direction and it'll only take .2 seconds for your deviation to return to normal for each second you move. It's there for the exact reason you mentioned actually, because there is no leaning

So I did not have to wait for 5 seconds after moving for 5 seconds?Tirak wrote:Already a feature actually, you can move for 5 seconds in any direction and it'll only take .2 seconds for your deviation to return to normal for each second you move.
I feel stupid now...

I think Tirak's math is off.ComradeHX wrote:So I did not have to wait for 5 seconds after moving for 5 seconds?

If you move for 5 seconds you have to wait for the full deviation to settle, period.
If you are using Ironsights it takes 2 seconds to settle from full deviation, so if you move for one second it takes .4 seconds to settle. If you move for five it takes 2 seconds.
If you are using a scope infantry rifle it takes four seconds to settle from full deviation.
If you move for one second it will take .8 seconds to settle, if you move for five it takes 4 seconds.
If you have a sniper kit it takes 8 seconds to settle from full deviation, so if you move for one second it takes 1.6 seconds to settle, if you move for 5 seconds it takes 8 seconds.
Previously if you tapped your movement keys it reset to the full deviation no matter how long you moved, now you have a quick settle time for small adjustments.

Re: Exponentially increase/decrease deviation?
*shrug* From the change log.Updated Deviation on ALL hand held weapons. Full settle time for ANY weapon is not required unless you've been on the move for 5 seconds. This works linearly, so if you've been on the move for 1 second, you'll only require 1/5th of the settle time, for 2 seconds, 2//5ths etc

I fail for not checking the blogs.gazzthompson wrote:Good news everyone! (X2) - Project Reality Forums

I brought shame to motherland... T_T
EDIT: even though what I suggested was a bit different, I see no significant change in the already fluid cover-leaning shooting action with ironsighted weapons.

Seeing as your idea was so fantastic that Jaymz went back to the future and implemented it to make you look stupid and us look awesome, you are forgiven.....
Had it been a plan for a laz0r pointer leik in Modern warfare you would have been erased from the very fabric of history. Lucky this time, but I'll be watching.....
