Did a search and checked the *** thread (heheheh, '***' thread; for all the fast ropers!
IDF are fast becoming one of my favourite factions; their player models look a bit questionable with their helmets, but I like their vehicles and primary weapon.
At the release of 0.9 I asked friends with interest in military about the IDF and what they told me was, in a nutshell, that their morality was questionable; that they have used white phospherus shells etc against the Hamas in the past and generally not adhered to the Geneva Convention, making them a 'lesser-of-two-evils' faction as opposed to true-BLUFOR.
So I did a lil' background reading on the IDF and learned of the occasions when such tactics have been employed.
Would it be a good idea to have a limited number of Merkava rounds that fire 'phospherus' rounds? HE rounds with an after-effect like the Molotov? Perhaps extend the duration of the burning to signal the difference between what came out of a coke bottle and what came out of a big bloody tank barrel?
Limited to maybe, 5-6 shells?
It's a 'poor' suggestion but just something to throw out there, I think.
