Admining a server is not easy by any means. Not only is it frustrating at times but it takes a level headed mentality and some courtesy. Saying please usually gets a better result but not always. Many many times there is a lot of chat going on and warnings can be missed. Or worse an argument erupts and is not handled with maturity.

It is a standing rule to warn, kick and then ban players. A lot of which should be handled with just a warning but many times it is not. You will get the players who are warned for stealing assets and still remain in the drivers seat to ask you why and still proceed to drive/fly away. Other times a person might be warned and argue "The other squad was locked", and many times we ask in retort "Did you ask to join?". Most often the answer is no! By this time should you be kicked for remaining in the heli after the warning or continue arguing?

It would be a wonderful thing to have people cooperate and ask to join FIRST but that seems to be too many steps away from being able to fly or drive. So what you end up with is a single-seating asset thief. From the admins stand point- Do I want to argue? NO, I want to play the game, so likely the person would be kicked after warning(s).

This is even worse with the .09 patch- There are twice the number of vehicles for people to steal. It seems to be a boiling point where people get raged and begin to flame over who is in what squad. On-comes the rage TK.

To be honest, it is nice just to be able to play and not have imature behavior happen. TK'ing is one of those behaviors that needs to be corrected whether it be by admin or pub player. Intentional TK's are the worst type and should be dealt with in a harsh manner. The admins of our servers have been told to give more warnings and uphold a more friendly attitude, trust in that we are doing this- but please realize that there are two sides to the coin. Please be respectful and follow the rules.

Its a given that justifiable offenses deserve justifiable punishments. People being asshats and intentionally disrupting gameplay, TKing, true asset stealing, the whole nine yards; but nothing to do with the current feedback.

What we have here is numerous pages stating the same thing over and over. Overzealous admins overextending their hand on your server for miniscule or misinformed reasons; and taking completely inappropriate actions. I have witnessed multiple accounts myself, so this is hardly an opinion swayed by the people of this thread.

You have admins completely taking over assets and NOT inviting anyone else to their squad, even though they have room. You have admins ignoring the general population of the game and only interact when something negative happens. You have admins that TK people for their own gain, or for retaliation for something completely stupid. You have admins that give people no chance to give their side of the story, even though you preach that there is two sides to every story.

If this was my server, I would take all of this feedback with a grain of salt and seriously take into consideration that there is something afoot within the admin team. Nothing short of a complete overhaul of the team and/or rules would will ever fix this. You tell us you had a meeting, and assure us that measures have been taken. But here we are, still having the same complaints.

You say its nice to just be able to play and not worry, but we would like to as well. We don't want to worry about if the admins woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. Players don't want to play in an environment where we're afraid that if we did something minor, we would get a major punishment. Its just stupid and counter-intuitive to the gameplay. In the end, you end up with a gradual degradation within the playerbase in your server because people just don't want to play under those circumstances.

And again, this isn't much of a rant, but more of a perspective from a person who wants to steer the problem into a more progressive solution.

I can tell you that I now advise uFear players not to play on HOG Muttrah server. We always played there, and in fact uFear a_cookie_=D plays there all the time. Today he build a FOB at dock and our squad was holding docks, while second uFear squad attacked North City. Once we got North City to neutral and build FOB there, cookie asked one of the squad members to burn our TOW, so we can build a new TOW at North City. We had to do it because TOW limit was reached. One of your HOG members TKed the squad member that burned TOW, and when we explained why we did it, your HOG admin banned cookie.
I am not going to waste time registering on HOG forums to plea for what is a clearly a wrong ban. You have your server and you can admin it any way you want. But if any admin in uFear puled shit like that, he would loose admin at least for a week. And we would apologize to a player we wronged.
But then we are uFear and we like to make players feel welcome.

I would like to comment on cookies ban yes he was at docks and yes the other squad was at north but if you read our scrolling rule it does say we encourage teamwork now if you considering burning another squads tow that was in use teamwork then i dont know what teamwork is your squad member that you sent to burn our tow was kicked for team killing as he decided to teamkill a squad member that was on the tow at the time before burning the tow,now that being said we were in a heated battle so could not respond to what was being said in chat yes cookie was banned not by myself but this was discussed with him in our ventrilo.

I would have to disagree with this statement, I have found that some of their admins do not listen to your side of the story at all and most will never apologize for something they have done wrong. Just recently, an admin named "Phil" wouldn't respond after a guy Tked me out of my transport huey, yet he joins my squad and harasses me because I was using the LB to transport people. There were two LBs, the game was half over, NO LB squad present (they were just rotting), and the server only had 10 people on each side. I follow his commands and get out of the heli, but all he did was chew me out for not following rules, giving me no chance to tell my side of the story, but rather, he kept frantically saying "don't lie to me" and "this is my server, just shut up." Admins are supposed to listen to all sides of the story, not tell you to shut up. ??:
-P.S. never differ your story from a HOG admin, because they are omniscient and could never be wrong. It is a ban-able offense for your story to be different from theirs, apparently. Just go to HOG forums, there you will see many incidents of this occurring.

Rusty Shackleford. I remember the incident. You weren't in a proper squad, and you were warned about that. You didn't react so I joined your squad to tell you, that you were breaking the rules. You apologized, so why should I listen to your side of the story ? You kept going, so I had to yell at you and tell you to shut up. I warned you, and instead of kicking you, which is the next step, I solved the problem with verbal communikation.

I got furious, yelling at you to shut up. And for that, I apologize!!! But I can ensure you, that I never told anybody that "This is my server". That 's simply not my style. I hope that this incident wont prevent you from frequenting our servers.

P.S. If you ever again have a incident similar to this one on any server, I suggest you make a post on the clan web site.

Your statement is untrue. The FOB and TOW was build by cookie's squad. The person TKed, was member of the cookie's squad, he was TKed by HOG member and then kicked for destroying an asset. The TOW was no longer used on the docks and needed in North City. Your ban is wrong and you should at least have guts to admit it.

It was still bullshit when you banned him. Teamwork would suggest to destroy one to build another while capping on the front line. After all, where is the enemy going to go with them vehicles when a flag goes neutral. I and my Community will not be supporting this server anymore as the members of HOG have shown their lack of team playing tactics on the field. A ban was uncalled for in this situation.

I can see that a few people here have had a bad experience in our servers and with some of our admins, we apologize for that. We want you to feel welcome to come and play. If you need to appeal or discuss your "side" then please do so on our website forums with our admins- that is the avenue set up for anyone to plea their case for you situation. Likely you will get to interact with the admins and other public players who are on our servers when you join our ventrillo. Trust me we aren't the heavy fisted monsters that some people are making us out to be.

With that said a lot of people who play in =HOG='s servers are on vent, know that we are strict and have ZERO tolerance for certain things. In general these same players expect admins to take action. Racism is one of those things that can award a person an instant ban- now ask yourself is it harsh to ban someone for that without warning? We do not want to kick or ban anybody but sometimes this is the only method that gets the point across.

Most of our bans are only for 24 hours and help provide the time to cool down, reflect or debate on the situation. In some cases a person who "should" know the rules steps out of line and a kick/ban is still used even on regular players. That shows even though you are a regular or brand new that you must abide by our rules. If we let it slip a little then these players will break the rules on a regular basis.

Sometimes we do not have time to review all the facts or wait for a response, action is taken without warning because we as admins cannot oversee every little thing that is happening in the battlefield. Most of the time we are in the fight along side everyone else. That leaves very little time for us to understand what happened and make a descision on what to do about it. Sorry if you feel we are hasty in our choice to kick/ban people. Sometimes that is the fastest solution to continue with the rest of the game.

Most of our kicks happen after a warning or some type of discussion, if it be in-game chat or on vent. We would like to eliminate the arguments as much as possible so being on vent helps. Flaming over a kick/ban isn't going to support the over-all attitude of the situation so maybe it is best that everyone think about all of this for a second... If you follow the rules then you get to play here. If you feel we are in the wrong, come speak with us like a mature adult so we can resolve it.

Here is a tip or two:
1. If you are in an asset squad and someone is stealing your assets- INVITE THEM TO YOUR SQUAD! That way you can atleast attempt to solve the problem yourself. If all else fails, join the squad they made and explain you already had one up and handle it from there- invite them or report them. Our rule stands that if you made the squad first, then it is your asset.

2. If you want to use an asset, check to see if you are the only squad using them- if there is one already in use or locked, ASK TO JOIN! Have some patients before you just jump in and go. Jumping in and going is about as hasty as we will be to kick you for it

I recently got banned from the 24/7 muttrah server for no apparent reason. Even knowing why would be nice. The displayed reason was "trolling", but I had been ingame for about 60 seconds, had just joined a squad (with 2 HOG players in it) and spawned.

In conclusion, I would like to see my ban reversed ASAP.

Maybe an admin write wrong some ID ? 60 sec in the server and bann = 90% an human error
