maybe in vanilla bf2 where there is no restriction for the kit, or in CSS. The pistol a sniper is allocated makes for a fine cqb weapon. Actually let me rephrase my initial response: if the sniper and his spotter are in a urban landscape, the spotters weapon, will also make for a decent cqb weapon, if the sniper and spotter are in a urban landscape, and have a run in with some enemies, while relocating to a different position or while moving through the urban jungle.alberto_di_gio wrote:And I disagree for that. A sniper IS a loner. As a nature of it presence he must stay disguised and far away from eyes. His weapon is totally useless in close combat. Even if a sniper is in a crowded squad he must move apart them. He have to has his own agenda (of course given by commander or his squad leader)
Snipers working alone usually result in snipers being killed and the other team getting the sniper kit and it being used against the team it originally was intended to help. Just like H-AT being used by one person, that player dying and the H-AT falling into the hands of the enemy.
^Above is my personal opinion from experiences playing PR.
